STRUCTURAL engineers Covey Associates officially opened its new Gladstone office on Thursday.
The privately owned consulting engineering firm was established in 1990.
It has offices in Maroochydore, Rockhampton, Tamworth, Narrabri and Papua New Guinea.
“Covey Associates is delighted to be opening a new office in Gladstone, reflecting a strong commitment to servicing major clients in this growing region and providing long-term employment for talented, highly qualified local people,” founding director Kevin Covey said.
Covey Associates is renowned for its expertise in civil, structural and environmental works, hydraulic engineering, landscaping and fire safety management.

Queensland award-winning consulting engineering firm, Covey Associates recently celebrated its 20th anniversary along with state MPs, regional councillors, valued clients and a vast number of
people from the state’s business and development industry. One special guest, David Stein even travelled from Papua New Guinea to help the team celebrate their anniversary at an exclusive thank you dinner at the Maroochy RSL.
Guests were also entertained by a University of the Sunshine Coast professor of sports science, who is a fellow engineer and a Paralympic swimming champion.
Since opening their doors in 1990, the team, led by director and active UDIA executive member Kevin Covey, has expanded with offices in Rockhampton; Tamworth; and Narrabri, New South
Wales, which operates as Kelley Covey Group; and a visiting office in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea.
