Tamworth Medical Precinct
Tamworth Medical Precinct – Short Term Accommodation
Our staff have recently provided detailed design, planning and documentation services for a new accommodation facility to service the growing number of visiting medical practitioners engaged at the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital. The provision of accommodation for these practitioners can be problematic – long-term rentals are not practical for those on short-duration rosters where they may be residing in Tamworth for just a few days or weeks in each rotation, and hotel accommodation can be costly and impractical for those that are required to attend for weeks or months at a time.
The development will provide for the growing number of practitioners visiting Tamworth under these circumstances by providing practical, comfortable and cost-effective accommodation facilities that a standard hotel is often unable to provide; such as larger living areas, kitchen/cooking/dining facilities and laundry services, over a longer term and in close proximity to the city’s informal medical precinct.
